English-born Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah got his first goal of the season for Crystal Palace as they secured a slim 1-0 victory over Fulham in round 4 of the EFL Cup.
The lethal forward broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, scoring the decisive goal to put Palace on course for victory in the cup encounter.
Nketiah’s strike proved enough to separate the two London sides, with Crystal Palace holding on to their advantage to claim a narrow win.
The former Arsenal striker continued his involvement until the 71st minute, when he was replaced by Dwight McNeil as Palace made a change in attack.
The goal marks an important moment for Nketiah, who had been waiting to open his account for the season before finding the net against Fulham.
With his first goal now secured, the striker will look to build on the performance and maintain his scoring form as Crystal Palace continue their campaign.
