Ghanaian-born Slovakian international Samuel Gidi registered his first-ever goal for FC Cincinnati in a dramatic draw with Inter Miami CF in the Major League Soccer.

FC Cincinnati battled Inter Miami CF to a 2-2 draw Wednesday night at Nu Stadium in South Florida. Three goals over the final 10 minutes saw the two sides go back-and-forth and split the points in Miami.

After a defensively dominated first half in which neither team mustered a quality chance, both teams woke up starting with Inter Miami when Suarez notched his 16th goal of the season. Suarez took a cross from Casemiro after a long roller into the box from Rodrigo De Paul. Suarez then hit a pinpoint shot into the top right corner and out of Celentano's reach.

Kenji Mboma Dem and Samuel Gidi scored in the 80th and 86th minutes, respectively, to put FC Cincinnati ahead 2-1 after falling behind 1-0 in the 61st minute on a goal by Luis Suarez.

The former MSK Zilina midfielder netted his first-career goal for the Oranges with a superb strike in the 86th minute of the game.

However, Fillipi snuck home a shot into the bottom right corner and past Cincinnati keeper Roman Celentano to level the match in the 90th minute.

Gidi, who was born in Ghana before moving to Slovakia at age 18 after being signed by MSK Zilina from its feeder club based in Ghana in 2022 for an undisclosed fee, acquired Slovakian citizenship in 2025.

The 22-year-old has already represented Slovakia at the U21 level and has made six caps for the European nation.

Gidi, who remains eligible to play for Ghana in future, has made 31 appearances for FC Cincinnati with a goal and assist in the ongoing Major League Soccer season.
