The Schlappekicker have reportedly placed the 21-year-old defender of Ghanaian descent on their shortlist for his potential capturing in the upcoming transfer window

Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt are expressing interest in signing German-born Ghanaian defender Joshua Quarshie from English Championship side Southampton, per an emerging report from the German media.

The former SpVgg Greuther Fürth loanee, who joined up with the relegated Premier League side from Bundesliga rivals TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2025, could be set for a return to the German top-flight in the summer transfer window.

According to German tabloid BILD, those managing the administrative affairs at the Waldstadion have set sights on the towering Ghana-prospect centre-back as a potential defender for reinforcement and are confident of landing him given his bit part role at the St. Mary's Stadium so far this season.

With his contract set to run until June 30, 2029, it remains to be seen if the English club would entertain any offer from suitors when the next transfer window is open again.

Quarshie has so far featured in 17 appearances for the Saints across all competitions in this ongoing football season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the 1.96 meter tall central defender still remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Germany U18, U19 and U20 national youth teams.
