The Italian third division side have announced the loan signing of the 23-year-old forward of Ghanaian descent in the ongoing winter transfer window

Italian-born Ghanaian centre-forward Joseph Ansah Ekuban has completed his transfer loan move to Serie C side Fidelis Andria until the end of the 2022/2023 football season.

The former Hellas Verona frontman is joining the Stadio Degli Ulivi outfit from fellow lower-tier side Virtus Francavilla Calcio for game time following a rocky start to this term's campaign.

Fidelis Andria confirmed the capturing of the 23-year-old forward together with his new Italian team-mate Giacinto Danilo from Ascoli Calcio via their club's official website: ''The Fidelis Andria announces that yesterday evening agreements were reached for temporary arrivals, from Ascoli Calcio, the striker Giacinto Danilo Ventola and the Virtus Francavilla of the striker Joseph Ansah Ekuban,''

''Ventola, despite his young age, already boasts about 100 appearances in the Serie C championship. In the first part of this season he wore the Recanatese jersey, totaling 14 appearances seasoned with 2 goals. In the 21/22 season he wore the shirt of Virtus Francavilla, scoring 3 goals in 35 games played,''

''Ekuban, who grew up in the youth sector of Hellas Verona, wore the Virtus Francavilla shirt in the first part of the season. Last season he came to light with the Monterosi Tuscia jersey totaling 17 appearances seasoned with 3 goals,''

''To Danilo and Joseph a warm welcome to the Fidelis family.''

His deal with Virtus Francavilla Calcio will expire in June, 2024 and as per transfermarkt valuation, his current market value is €750K.

Having been born and raised in Italy, Ekuban is eligible to switch allegiance to play for Ghana at the international stage. He is the younger brother of Genoa's forward Caleb Ekuban.
