Torino FC are believed to be the front-runners over the race to sign former Ghana international midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan in the ongoing January transfer window.

It's understood that, those in charge of affairs at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, are having the former Inter Milan youth product as the number one transfer target and are eager to land him this term from Fiorentina.

According to a report by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Fiorentina have asked the suitors of their midfield enforcer to fork out a transfer fee of 4m if they are to prise him away from them this winter.

Manager Ivan Juric is said to be a big admirer of the 29-year-old enforcer and has tasked his club's hierrachy to do all that they can to acquire his services for him before the window is shut down.

Aside Torino, other Serie A campaigners such as; Cremonese, Empoli and Spezia are all reportedly gunning for the signature of the former Ghana international defensive midfielder in this second transfer window.

Duncan acrimoniously called time on his international career with the four-time African champions in May this year, having capped 10 times at the senior national team level, the Black Stars.
