Black Stars midfielder, Elisha Owusu has been named in French Ligue 1 team of match-week 6 following his unmatched performance last Friday night for AJ Auxurre in their emphatic victory over Brest.
The 26-year-old was handed starting berth for the Blue and Whites lads, opened his season's goal-scoring account and also provided an assist in addition to power AJ Auxerre to a 3-0 win at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps.
He made the impressive display from his side count when he pounced on Sinaly Diomande's pass to open the floodgate for AJ Auxerre in the 26th minute of the game.
The versatile midfielder following his stellar display made the Ligue 1 team of the week alongside captain Jubal who also converted a penalty in the game.
Other players like PSG duo of Achraf Hakimi, Bradley Barcola, Jonathan David, Angel Gomes, Angola's Clinton Mata, all made the cut.
His compatriot Gideon Mensah, who recently recovered from injury layoff, came on in the 66th minute as replacement for Clement Akpa.
AJ Auxurre will play as guests to St-Etienne in the next round of matches on Saturday, October 5.
