Ghanaian marksman Elvis Amoh was at the double as Detroit City FC thrashed Charleston Battery 2-0 in Saturday's USL Championship.

Amoh was the killer weapons in the dying embers of the match as the 'Black and Yellow' were swatted aside at Keyworth Stadium.

Maxi Rodrigues opened the scoring late on (86th minute) with a penalty before Elvis Amoh doubled Le Rouge's lead in the 94th minute to give his side the victory.

Amoh's fantastic form under Danny Dichio continued as he put up an explosive display in a superb performance from Le Rouge.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian striker has made six appearances in the 2024 USL Championship as Detroit City sit 3rd with 29 points on the league table.

Amoh's Ghanaian compatriot who was born in the USA and plays as a centre-back for Detroit City FC - Devon Amoo-Mensah also had a fireflous game, playing the full 90 minutes.
