Edmund Baidoo provided an assist and scored a goal in Sogndal's 2-1 victory over Lyn in Sunday’s Norwegian First Division outing.

 

The 18-year-old who joined Tore André Flo's side in the winter of 2024, having made his debut against newly relegated Vålerenga, and immediately made his mark with an assist.

Lyn opened the scoring in the 14th minute as they dominated possession and fired incessant shots from all angles


Following their 2-2 draw against Egersund a fortnight ago, Sogndal wasted no time to get back to winning ways with Felix Eriksson scoring the equaliser in the 18th minute after turning in a cross from Edmund Baidoo.



Later in the first half, the Ghanaian doubled the Vestland based side's lead after a great midfield play.



Sunday’s efforts extended Baidoo's tally to six goals and three assists in 13 matches across all competitions this season in the 2024 1. Divisjon, with Sogndal manning the 6th position with 20 points while are 8th on 18 points.
