Ghana international Emmanuel Osei Banahene was on target in Ismaily 1-2 home defeat to Al Alhly in the Egyptian top-flight League.
The 25-year-old forward broke the deadlock in the 18th minutes but his side failed to maintain the lead to the entire duration.
Al Ahly needed only nine minutes to open the scoring. Momen Zakaria’s header rebounded from the post for Ramadan Sobhy to convert into Ismaily’s net putting Al Ahly in the lead.
Three minutes later, Al Ahly doubled their lead through a freekick by Walid Soliman to make it 2-0 for the guests.
Former Dreams FC attacker John Antwi also enjoyed full throttle for Al Ahly to help them clinch their 38th Egyptian Premier League title.
