The former Ghana U20 striker has made a return to Portugal to rejoin top-tier side Rio Ave until the summer of 2024
Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng has officially signed for Rio Ave in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old penned a two-year deal with the Green and White lads after ending his stay with Chinese side Dalian Professional FC.
He spent the last three seasons in China where he managed to register 14 goals in 41 games for the side.
Boateng returns to the club he featured during the 2014/15 season, after leaving Arcos, he played for Moreirense and Spanish side UD Levante where he scored a famous hat-trick against Barcelona.
The sharp-shooting forward is expected to make an appearance for Rio Ave against G.D. Estoril Praia in the Portuguese top-flight league fixture on Friday
He has capped seven times for the Black Stars of Ghana with a goal to his credit.
