England-born Ghanaian starlet Gameli Hoedoafia featured for Watford FC B during their 2-4 away victory against Barking Football Club in the 2026 London Senior Cup on Tuesday.
The 16-year-old attacking midfielder, who was handed a place in the starting line-up by manager Paul Furlong, did marshal the middle of the park much to the delight of those on the touchline as they progressed to the third-round of the County Senior Cup competition of the London FA.

Right after seeing his youthful B-Team defeat the Essex Senior League Premier Division side to that resounding victory, the English talent nurturing coach expressed his extreme satisfaction over the performances of their academy troops at the end of the encounter by telling the club's official website: ''I’m very pleased,” said Furlong. The players did ever so well. I said we have to suffer in games, and I thought they sat in, had a good shape and in those key moments they broke away and scored some really good goals. I’m proud of every single one of them.''

Hoedoafia is currently with the Watford U18 setup playing in the English U18 Youth Alliance championship for the current 2026/27 campaign.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the promising youth star could become a cornerstone for Ghana at the senior level on the international stage should the Ghana FA strive hard to secure his international allegiances in the near future.
