English-Ghanaian forward Daniel Adu-Adjei delivered a commanding performance as Rijeka came from behind to defeat Omonia Nicosia 3–1 and secure their spot in the next round of the UEFA Conference League.

Rijeka entered the second-leg clash with a 1–0 advantage from the first leg in Cyprus, but were stunned early on when Muamer Tankovic opened the scoring for the visitors, leveling the aggregate.

The home side regained control after halftime, with Toni Fruk first restoring parity on the night with a finish set up by Tiago Dantas, then putting Rijeka ahead 2–1 courtesy of a well-crafted chance created by Adu-Adjei’s clever movement in the final third.

Adu-Adjei sealed the victory on 79 minutes, scoring himself to make it 3–1, completing a goal-and-assist display that highlighted his growing influence on Rijeka’s attack.

The result gave Rijeka a 4–1 aggregate triumph and extended their strong home record in European competition.

Next, Rijeka return to HNL action against NK Lokomotiva on Sunday, March 1, as Adu-Adjei aims to carry his European form into domestic play.
