lcelandic Besta deild karla side Thór Akureyri have announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Isaac Atanga from newly promoted Swedish Allsvenskan side Kalmar FF on a three-year contract.
The former FC Nordsjaelland widesman is joining up with his current employers after spending a season with the Swedish outfit in the 2025-26 campaign following his move in a two-year deal in the summer of 2025.
An excerpt of confirmation over the capturing of the ex-Aalesunds FK man reads via the club's official website: ''The Þórður Football League has signed a contract with Isaac Atanga for the next three years.
''Atanga joins Þór from the Swedish Premier League team Kalmar FF, but he has also played for Cincinnati in the MLS league, Göztepe in Turkey and the Norwegian team Álasund in his career, as well as FC Nordsjælland, where his career began.
''He will meet our men in Marbella, Spain this weekend, where the Þórsliðið team will be training for the next few days. We welcome Atanga to the Village and look forward to watching him compete this summer.''
Atanga is yet to be cap-tied by Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars at the international level.
