Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew scored a superb goal for Leicester City during their 3-1 defeat to league leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Thursday night.
Ayew capitalized on Stephy Mavididi’s brilliant run, firing a precise shot into the bottom corner to give Leicester an early lead in the 6th minute.
However, Liverpool equalized through Cody Gakpo just before halftime and took control in the second half. Goals from Curtis Jones and Mohamed Salah sealed the victory for the Reds, with Salah netting his milestone 100th Premier League goal at Anfield.
Despite Ayew’s impressive performance, Leicester’s loss pushed them into the relegation zone, highlighting their struggles in the league.
The Ghanaian striker has now registered five goals and one assist in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
