Ghanaian forward Eric Ayiah has joined Portuguese third-tier side Varzim Sport Club on a season-long loan from FC Felgueiras as he seeks more game time in the 2025/26 season.
The 25-year-old, who captained Ghana at U17 level, completed the move to the Segunda Divisão side before the transfer deadline.
Varzim confirmed the deal on their Facebook page, writing: “Eric Ayiah is loaned out from FC Felgueiras until 2026.”
Ayiah scored five goals and provided three assists in 29 outings for Felgueiras last season, but with competition for places intensifying, the two clubs agreed on a loan to keep him active.
Ayiah’s loan move to the Sea Wolves is expected to enhance Varzim’s firepower as they target Liga 3 promotion, with the winger determined to bounce back to his top form.
