Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah has returned to full group training with Olympique Lyonnais after spending several months on the sidelines with a serious injury.
The 22-year-old has been out for close to a year after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury during a league clash against Lille OSC, a setback that ruled him out of Ghana’s remaining 2026 World Cup qualifiers and much of the 2025/26 season.
The mercurial winger rejoined his teammates on Tuesday as Lyon stepped up preparations for their upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Stade Rennais, marking a significant step in his recovery process.
Despite his return to full training, the club is expected to carefully manage his reintegration, with plans to ease him back into competitive action gradually.
Ernest Nuamah will be hoping to stay injury-free and regain top form in the coming weeks as he pushes for a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
