Ghanaian playmaker Mohammed Kudus has reportedly turned down a recommendation from Tottenham Hotspur to undergo surgery on his latest hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old has already been sidelined since January with a quad problem, recently suffered a fresh setback that has now ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Following specialist assessments, Tottenham are understood to have advised surgery as the best option at the moment to full recovery.

However, Kudus has opted against that idea, choosing instead to pursue a conservative rehabilitation programme.

The decision is believed to be influenced by concerns over the lengthy recovery period associated with surgery, which could significantly affect his availability for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

There are already fears that the injury situation could see him miss out on the Black Stars squad, depending on how his recovery progresses in the coming months.

Kudus Mohammed will now continue his rehabilitation under close medical supervision, with Ghana set to face England, Croatia and Panama in Group L of the tournament.
