Former Aduana Stars defender Derick Afeson Boateng has signed for Finnish fourth tier side PEPO Lappeenranta.
The 24-year-old, who clocked up over 54 Ghana Premier League appearances, will continue his career with the southeastern club who described the acquisition as ‘massive.’
Head coach of PEPO said: "We have been looking for depth for our padding section since the beginning of the training season. Derick is a top athlete for our young players."
"As a player with both legs, he can play all defensive roles and, if necessary, in the bottom of midfield."
Afeson began his career at FC Samartex after being signed as a free agent and had stints at Tamale Liberty before making a switch to Aduana Stars in 2020.
The centre-back spent three years there before he left the club after the expiration of his contract.
PEPO who tied in Group A of the league - will start off the new season in the Kakkonen with a visit to Grankulla IFK on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Kauniaisten keskuskenttä.
