HNK Sibenik of Croatia defender Morrison Agyemang has opened his goals account for the season, having notched his side's second goal in their 2-1 away win over NK Osijek in the Croatian top-flight league on Sunday evening.

The ‘Oranges' travelled to Osijek with hopes of starting their season on a flying-start which later materialized as they exited the Opus Arena with the three maximum points.

Sibenik took the lead in the 8th minute through Ivan Bozic. Their jubilation was cut short as the home team equalized in the 54th minute by Marko Soldo.

The away side scored to surge upfront five minute later with a goal from Ghanaian centre-back Morrison Agyemang, putting the game out of Osijek's reach. Agyemang, 19, scooped the Man of the Match award.

Sibenik performed better in the dying embers of the second half, exerting pressure in an attempt to force the match to end in their favor, which they superbly did.

After one matchday in the new Croatian HNL season, Sibenik finds themselves in 4th place with three points, while NK Osijek is in seventh place with no points.
