A late Jonathan Perea Hinestroza goal earned Sirens FC a 1-1 draw at home to Mosta in the Maltese Premier League, quashing the Pride of the North side's hopes of improving on their disappointing start to the Maltese Premier League season.
Five former players of Medeama SC started the match as Bismark Asare came off the Sirens bench in the 63rd minute to play his part in the crunch encounter at the St. Paul's Bay Stadium on Friday.
Former Medeama captain Kwasi Donsu, defender Daniel Opoku, midfielder Prosper Boakye, forward Charles Agyemang and winger Akadom Mohammed Hafiz all started for Sirens.
Maltese midfielder Clayton Failla had put Mosta ahead in the 51st minute, taking a low footed penalty into the net.
The goal was cancelled as the home team raised their game to score a last gasp sublime acrobatic goal in the 90+4' to send hope to their fortunes even though they are yet to win any of their opening two league matches.
