Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have set sights on Ghana and Rio Ave forward, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu following his blistering form in the Portuguese topflight.

The 24 year old has been in outstanding form for the Rioavistas since last season and is replicating the same output once again, having established a solid pair upfront with compatriot Emmanuel Boateng

He currently has a goal-involvement of 11; having scored eight and provided three assists, making him the fans favourite at the Estadio dos Arcos.

Kickgh.com can exclusively report that, African giants Al Ahly have exhibited a strong interest in the Ghanaian and are willing to lure him in the just-opened January transfer window.

The Red Devils finished last season poorly which is very uncharacteristic of them, missing out on both the league and CAF Champions League and will want to strengthen their squad to compete for the two this time around.

Abdul-Aziz Yakubu will hope to make manager Luis Freire's starting line once again this weekend when they play as guests to Vitoria SC in match-day 15 of the Portugal Primiera Liga.
