The 27-year-old is set to incur the wrath of his German lower-tier outfit for failing to report to training in time ahead of the resumption of this season's league campaign
Fortuna Dusseldorf sporting director Klaus Allofs has served notice that Ghana international winger Nana Ampomah will face disciplinary action for absenting himself from training since Monday.
The former Waasland-Beveren man has been rebuked over his failure to return to training drills as expected and will now have to offer ''explanation'' to that effect when he finally show up from his base in the coming days.
Club's sporting director Klaus Allofs has branded the situation of the 27-year-old as ''pity'' whiles he awaits for his arrival from his long break ahead of the restart of this term's football contest.
''You always have the hope that things will get better. Not all hopes are confirmed! That is a pity. Now we'll wait to see what he explains to us when he returns, and then we'll see," Allofs fumes in an interview with German tabloid Bild
Ampomah's current deal with the Merkur Spiel-Arena outfit is due to expire in June 2023, and could be made to move on this winter window having failed to live up to expectation since his transfer move in 2019.
The Tema-born winger has been capped 4 times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars.
