According to exclusive reports, English Championship side Coventry City FC have beaten Hull City to sign Ghanaian attacker Brandon Thomas-Asante in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The Tigers since the opening of the ongoing window, have strongly been linked with a move to sign the West Brom winger but their rivals Coventry City FC have rather made it happen in an astonishing twist that the majority never saw coming.

Speculations has it that, former Black Stars assistant coach George Boateng also played a huge factor in convincing the pacey wideman to join the Sky Blues.

Coventry City FC, after finishing 9th and reaching the FA Semi final last season where they lost to eventual winners Manchester United, will look to patch up some cracks in their squad in order to deliver an improved performance in the upcoming season.

The Black Stars striker, who can also operate off the right flank, played 39 times in the Championship last term for Albion, netting 11 goals and registering two assists as Carlos Corberan's side snatched a play-off place ahead of the Tigers, before losing out to eventual Wembley winners Southampton.

Thomas-Asante netted 18 goals in 72 appearances for the Baggies after joining them in 2022 from Salford City when the Championship club paid around £300,000 for the Ghana international, who was heading into the final 12 months of his Hawthorns deal

He made his debut for the senior national team of Ghana during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi in March 2024.
