The former WAFA winger has sealed a move to Blue and White lads from Red Bull Salzburg for an undisclosed fee, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.
Georgian Erovnuli Liga side FC Samtredia have completed the signing of Ghanaian young winger Daniel Owusu on a long-term contract.
The 21-year-old attacker has joined the Erosi Manjgaladze Stadium outfit on a three-and-half deal after a fruitful negotiations between Red Bull Salzburg and the Georgian top-flight club.
Owusu, who arrived at Red Bull Salzburg from former Ghana Premier League campaigners West African Football Academy (WAFA) in 2021 failed to break into the first team of the Austrian Bundesliga giants.
He was loaned out to the Red Bull Salzburg's feeder club FC Liefering and made an instant impact after scoring two goals and providing two assists in 11 games.
The Kumasi-born was later farmed out to SV Horn, First Vienna FC and SKU Amstetten, all in Austria. However, he couldn't gain a place in Red Bull Salzburg's first team.
He also made five appearances for Red Bull Salzburg II in the UEFA Youth League during the 2021/22 season.
Owusu was one of the highly-rated enforcers in the Ghana Premier League before leaving the shores of the West African nation in 2021 to join Red Bull Salzburg. He notched up three goals and provided an assist in 14 appearances for WAFA in the Ghana Premier League.
