Czech-based Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu has received a maiden call-up for Ghana’s international friendlies against Japan and South Korea later this month.

The 23-year-old attacker has been in an incredible form for Europa League campaigners Viktoria Plzen this season and has been making headlines every week with goals and assists.

His impressive performances in the Czech top-flight league and UEFA Europa League has been rewarded with a debut call-up to the senior national team of Ghana by Otto Addo for the two friendlies.

The Black Stars will play Japan in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup on November 14 before facing South Korea four days later.

Adu Kwabena has netted five goals in 14 matches for Viktoria Plzen in the Czech Republic Liga and he has notched up a goal in three Europa League games.

He featured for Ghana Premier League side Bechem United before leaving for abroad in 2023 after battling several injury setbacks. He had stints in Belarus and Ukraine with Isloch and Kryvbas respectively.

Adu Kwabena's contract with Viktoria Plzen will be expiring in the summer of 2027 and he has emerged on the radar of several clubs in England, Italy, Sweden, Germany and France for a possible acquisition next summer.
