Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, a young Ghanaian winger for Leicester City, has revealed a strong connection with club legend Jamie Vardy during matches.

The 20-year-old provided the assist for Vardy's first goal of the season in their recent draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

Their successful partnership played a significant part in Leicester's promotion to the Premier League last season, demonstrating their excellent understanding of each other's game.

"Jamie Vardy is always in position; I know exactly where to find him," he said after the game. "Every time I get the ball, I think about where to place it so he can score. Thankfully, it worked out again today, and I’m really happy."

Leicester had conceded early in the first half to a Pedro Porro strike but responded strongly in the second half.

"It’s all about the coach," he added. "During halftime, he spoke to us in the dressing room about how to make things easier as a team. We executed it, and I think that's why we took control of the game.

"Especially the way we played, it’ll boost our confidence. We know we can give even more. This game will help us learn more tactics. I believe we’re going to keep improving and showing what we can do."
