Jeffrey Schlupp, the Ghanaian midfielder for Crystal Palace, has revealed his ambitions for the upcoming English Premier League season.
Although he was an unused substitute in their opening game against Brentford, the 31-year-old's strong performance during pre-season, including goals in three consecutive matches, suggests a significant role for him this year.
With his extensive experience in the league, Schlupp is poised to make a substantial contribution to Palace's success.
“I wish I had that form in the Premier League! For me, I managed to score a few goals this pre-season and I'm happy with how I performed," he told Crystal Palace TV.
“In terms of a goal target, any more than last year would be good for me, but hopefully we just have a successful season all together and then if I can chip in with some goals and assists, I'll be happy with that, yeah.
“We've worked so hard and hopefully we can give [the fans] something good to shout about on the first day.”
