The Romanian top-tier outfit have secured the loan services of the Ghanaian defender from their fellow league rivals this summer
Romanian Superliga side FC sideHermannstadt have confirmed the loan signing of Ghanaian right-back Nana Antwi from giants club FC Steaua București.
The 24-year-old is proceeding on a season-long loan move to the Municipal Stadium campaigners as he's not part of the plans of FCSB in the ongoing football campaign.
Announcing the deal, club's chief Claudiu Rotar has said the former LOSC Lille B defender will team up with his colleagues on Wednesday to begin life at the Municipal Stadium for the rest of the 2024-25 season.
"The documents are already signed. We agreed that on Tuesday morning we will send a car to Bucharest after Nana Antwi, and from Wednesday he will show up for training under the command of Marius Măldărăşanu. I have a very good relationship with Gigi Becali, and he It will also support Antwi's salary. Anyway, I don't think there are any players at FCSB who earn less than 10,000 euros a month. Maybe some kids, but I don't think so," he is quoted as saying by Romanian news outlet ProSport.
Antwi, who was once courted by Danish Superliga giants FC Copenhagen prior to his move to FC Steaua București, is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
