Ghanaian youngster, Felix Afena-Gyan scored and assisted in AS Roma's 2-0 victory over Sunderland AFC in a preseason friendly at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira.

Manager Jose Mourinho and his charges arrived in Portugal last night to continue with their preparations towards the upcoming football season.

The UEFA Conference League winners engaged the English Championship side and humbled them by a resounding 2-0 in their first game in the southern European country. 
 
Afena-Gyan, 19, didn't make the starting line up but was introduced into the game at the start of the second half to replace Stephan El Shaarawy. 
 
He made his presence really felt on the pitch after opening the scoring account on the 75th finish with a sweet finish and assisted Nicolo Zaniolo for their second five minutes later to seal the win.
 
The 19 year old is hoping to impress in order to become a mainstay at the Stadio Olympico next season and also an integral member of the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar later this year.
