Former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, Felix Annan has stated emphatically that, he's never regretted his decision to wed his wife on a league date despite subsequently losing his position during his spell with the Reds.
The 27 year old joined Kotoko in 2014 from WAFA, went on some couple of loan spells, before returning to command the post as the first choice goalkeeper in Kumasi.
He took over the post to help the club clinch the FA Cup, NC special competition and the President Cup but unfortunately couldn't win them the league.
Felix however, lost his position in 2020 after he went to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Francisca Adu Denteh Yeboah. Second-choice Kwame Baah had taken over the post on his return before Razak Abalora later took over the post.
Speaking to Nhyira FM in Kumasi, the enterprising goalie explained why his marriage was fixed to that date and has never regretted that decision he took two years ago. He said;
“Even though I lost my position at Kotoko, I do not regret the decision I took to marry my wife in the course of the season."
“No way, I will never and ever regret marrying my wife. I don’t think I am unprofessional to fix my wedding ceremony on a league date."
“My wife and her family were based in the UK then and I had planned my wedding way back before we started the league because, at that time, there was no league."
“So, my wife and the family had to fly from the UK and we couldn’t change the plans,” he concluded
Felix Annan is currently with American third tier side Maryland Bobcats FC and has helped them clinch the Mid-Atlantic regional Independent Cup few months ago.
