Slovakia-based Malik Abubakari was in scintillating form as his side Slovan Bratislava defeated MFK Skalica 2-1 in the Slovak Cup.
The enterprising Ghanaian striker dashed through the thick defense of Skalica to break the virginity of the game in the 20th minute after Czech left-winger Jaromír Zmrhal sent in a daunting cross from the left flank - which Abubakari made no mistake as he tapped in the opener.
However, nineteen minutes later, Skalica restored parity when defender Adam Morong received a good long pass right outside the centre line to nip home.
Coach Weiss decided to introduce fresh legs by taking-off Abubakari. He brought on his son, a former midfielder of Manchester City - Vladimír Weiss.
Weiss scored in the 90th minute mark to seal a 2-1 win for the Tehelné pole stadium outfit.
Abubakar, who has netted four goals in all competitions, will now gazump into the second leg of the semi-final with a slim advantage.
