Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru scored his first goal in UEFA Europa Conference League for RSC Anderlecht against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday evening.

RSC Anderlecht exercised on their home advantage to inflict a 2-0 victory over the Dutch club in the first leg tie of quarter-finals stage of the competition at the Lotto Park.

Defender Michael Murillo fired up the opener for the home side on the 22nd minute before the former WAFA SC star sealed their victory with a strike in the second half.
 
Ashimeru doubled the score for Anderlecht after smashing a pass from his countryman Francis Amuzu into the back of the net on the 70th minute of the game.
 
He enjoyed the entire duration of the game while Amuzu was substituted on the 76th minute.
 
Ashimeru has managed to score three goals and provided three assists in 39 appearances for RSC Anderlecht across all competitions this season.
