Two European clubs Leeds United and ACF Florentina have both entered into a race for the signature of Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil, hoping to secure his service before the summer transfer window closes.
Paintsil has been linked with a move away from KRC Genk in this summer transfer window following his explosive and consistent high level performances since last season.
He was really outstanding and took the Belgian league by storm with 18 goals and 14 assists in all competitions, thus 32 goal involvements in the 2022/23 season.
Initially, the 25 year old was linked with a move to English side Brighton and Hove Albion but the negotiation hits snag subsequently as the deal couldn't go through.
However, another Premier League side Leeds United for the past weeks have come into contacts with Paintsil but will face a stiffer opposition from Serie A side ACF Florentina who have also expressed strong interest, per reports.
The mercurial winger has started the 2023/24 season on another explosive note and currently has a goal and two assists in eight matches in all competitions so far.
He enjoyed only 45 minutes of action in their goalless drawn game with Charleroi over the weekend and will hope for a starting berth against Turkish side Adana Demirspor in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
