Ghanaian centre-back Kadiri Mohammed has completed a move to Azerbaijani I Liga side Asta Mingachevir ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 29-year-old defender, formerly of Ashantigold, joins the club after a one-year stint in India with Mohammedan SC. His transfer also marks a return to familiar territory, having previously featured in Azerbaijan for Araz Nakhchivan during the 2023/24 campaign.
Kadiri brings a wealth of experience to Mingachevir, having spent much of his career in Eastern Europe. His CV includes spells with Arsenal Tula in Russia, Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine, Austria Vienna in Austria, as well as Chornomorets Odesa and Honvéd Budapest.
During his time at Dynamo Kyiv, he lifted both the Ukrainian Cup and the Ukrainian Super Cup, adding silverware to his seasoned career.
