Ex-England Striker Darren Bent believes that Thomas Partey is the most important player at Arsenal as he insists that the Ghanaian midfielder is the 'glue' that joins the team together.
Arsenal defeated Chelsea by 1:0 in the London Derby in the English Premier League (EPL) ON Sunday.
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus scored the only goal in the game to hand his side the victory.
Arsenal are on top of the league with thirty-four points afte thirteen games.
The 29-year-old was impressive again for the Gunners leaving fans marvelled at his performance this season.
Darren Bent believes that he's the most important piece of the jigsaw at the Emirates Stadium.
"My top four at Arsenal would be Ramsdale, Saliba, Partey who’s the glue, and then Gabriel Jesus. But Thomas Partey, when he’s not in that midfield, they look completely different,” he said on TalkSPORT.
"Then you’re asking Xhaka to play a role he doesn’t want to play. He wants the licence to go forward, get involved and score. When Partey’s not involved he can’t do that. He is the most important player at that club," he added.
Thomas Partey is part of the fifty-five man provisional squad and expected to shine for the Black Stars at the World Cup.
