Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Fredrick Asare is set to sign a two-year deal with newly promoted South African side Durban City on Tuesday with an option to extend for a further two years, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.
Asare, 26, becomes the latest Ghanaian player to make a move to the South African league.
The deal marks a new chapter for the former Accra Lions and Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, who is expected to be unveiled by the club later today.
The goalkeeper was released by Kotoko earlier this year after two seasons with the Porcupine Warriors, where he featured prominently in domestic competitions and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Durban City are aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, and see Asare as a key addition to bolster their options between the posts.
