Ghanaian youngster Frank Junior Adjei has joined Allsvenskan club Hammarby lF from IFK Värnamo on a four-year contract, the club have confirmed.

The promising forward is set to reunite with his former manager Kim Hellberg after the Swedish gaffer hotly pursued his services in this summer transfer window.

An official confirmation over the signing of the ex- Bibiani GoldStars SC man read : "Bajen signs IFK Värnamo's 21-year-old midfielder Frank Junior Adjei. The Ghanaian will thus once again play under Kim Hellberg's management, and after he made 50 Allsvenskan matches evenly during his three years in Småland, there will now be more in green and white for the offensive midfielder. Adjei's contract is written over the 2029 season."

Adjei said after appending his signature to the long-term deal via the club's official website: "It's a big club, I've heard and seen a lot about Hammarby. This is where I want to be and I'm really looking forward to playing for the club."

Sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg added: "With Adjei we get a young, developable player who, despite his age, has already made over 50 Allsvenskan matches. He can play in several positions in midfield and will contribute with his creativity, which is exactly what we need. In addition, he knows the Allsvenskan and is in full physical shape, which means that the starting stretch should be relatively short."

He figured in 15 games by netting 2 and assisting 1 for Värnamo in this ongoing Allsvenskan 2025 campaign.

Adjei is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars
