Saudi Arabian club Al Ain Saudi has officially signed Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Bonsu, announcing the move on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
The club, which competes in the Saudi First Division League—the second tier of Saudi football—welcomed the 29-year-old midfielder in a brief statement on their official X account: "Ghanaian axis. Kwame Bonsu joins Al Ain Saudi. Welcome, welcome."
While the announcement was met with excitement from fans, Al Ain Saudi did not reveal the length of Bonsu's contract.
Bonsu, who previously played for Al Bataeh in the United Arab Emirates, brings a wealth of experience to his new club. His move to Al Ain Saudi marks the ninth club in his professional career.
Bonsu has also earned recognition on the international stage, with one cap for the Ghana national team, the Black Stars.
Known for his versatility and defensive prowess, Bonsu is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Al Ain Saudi's midfield.
