Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong struck twice in the second half as Henan FC eased past Shenzhen Peng City 4-1 in the Chinese Super League on Friday at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium.
Zhong Yihao opened the scoring for Henan - who were playing home, in the 41st minute, turning in Oliver Gerbig’s headed pass.
Acheampong extended the lead after the break, finishing from Bruno Nazário’s through ball on 67 minutes before adding his second from close range ten minutes later.
Yang Yilin made it 4-0 with a late (86th minute) counterattack, while Brazilian attacker Wesley Moraes netted a stoppage-time consolation for Shenzhen.
Acheampong, who played 83 minutes, has now notched 10 goals in 20 league appearances this season, underlining his status as Henan’s key attacking threat.
Henan, who are 12th in the 16-club league, next visit Shanghai Port on Aug. 15.
