Highly rated utility player, Maxwell Woledzi has won his first title with Norwegian OBOS-ligaen side Fredrikstad after they posted a 2-2 draw with Moss FK.

The 22-year-old Ghanaian was handed a starting berth as he featured as a defensive midfielder in the game at the Melløs Stadium on Sunday.

The Aristocrats scored the first goal through midfielder Brandur Hendriksson in the 50th minute, but his goal was chopped off four minutes later after a painful mistake by Fredrikstad star Patrick Metcalfe which resulted in an own goal.

But Moss forward player Thomas Jakobsen notched his side's second goal in the 60th minute which was the game's floodgates opening.

However, the home team lit the spark for the comeback in the dying embers as Henrik Johansen made it 2-2 for Fredrikstad with just few second to end proceedings, clinching the league title and securing promotion to the top-flight league next season with just a game to end the first division league.

Woledzi, who is a graduate of the famous Right to Dream Academy has played thirteen games in the second round of the 2023 season since joining the Aristocrats from Portuguese club Vitória S.C in July on a three year contract.
