The 18-year-old teenage sensation of Ghanaian parentage believes his attacking prowess in midfield fits perfectly into his new side ahead of his debut season in the Spanish top-flight
Dutch-born Ghanaian attacking midfielder Gabriel Misehouy has said the "playing style of his La Liga side Girona FC suits him very well" as he is set to make his debut season in Spanish elite division contest.
The former Ajax youth product, who joined the Estadi Montilivi Stadium campaigners on a four-year deal this summer, is convinced the Spanish side is meant for young and upcoming footballers of his calibre to thrive on in nurturing their talents as rising stars.
"Obviously I wanted to come because they had a great season last year. The style of play suits me very well and I am adapting to the city,” the star began as being quoted by Mundo Deportivo. “It is a great club, especially for young players."
"Of course, it is a plus to play in the Champions League. Even so, I would have come to Girona anyway because of the confidence the club has shown in me."
He continued: "l can play in various positions, starting from the centre of the field and the position I feel most comfortable in is as an attacking midfielder, although I adapt to being a winger as well."
“It's a place that has surprised me because it's very hot and the language is very difficult, but my teammates have welcomed me very well, as has the coaching staff. “I feel very good and I will try to learn the language,” he said, with the intention of working off the pitch as well."
Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still remains qualified to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Netherlands U16, U17 & U18 national youth teams.
