The 21-year-old striker of Ghanaian origin has put pen to paper on a fresh term with the German fourth division side, with his new deal set to expire in 2026

German-born Ghanaian youngster Ohene Köhl has signed a contract extension with Regionalliga Nord (IV) side  FC Eintracht Norderstedt, the club have confirmed.

Having linked up with the Edmund-Plambeck-Stadion outfit on a short-term deal from Hamburger SV during the winter transfer window, the ex- RB Leipzig U-19 youth man will now spent the entire 2025-26 season with the Norderstedt-based club after extending his stay this summer.

An official statement read: ''In the winter, Ohne Köhl made a conscious decision to leave Hamburger SV's U23 team and join FC Eintracht Norderstedt, which was then threatened with relegation. He wanted to use the six months to get more match practice and get himself into the spotlight. A move that proved to be the right one for both sides.''

''The 21-year-old immediately became a regular starter, appearing in nine Regionalliga matches, scoring two goals and providing three assists, before breaking his toe and missing the final four games. This success story will continue next season – Ohene Köhl has extended his contract with Eintracht Norderstedt!''

Given his Ghanaian heritage, Ohene remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance to play for Ghana at the international level as he's yet to be cap-tied by the Germany senior national team.
