Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa SK has announced the signing of Ghana centre-back Nicholas Opoku on a free transfer for their 2024–25 season's campaign.

Ghana international Nicholas Opoku has officially signed a contract to complete his switch to Kasimpasa SK in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The Turkish club confirmed the acquisition of the 27-year-old defender on Monday during the signing ceremony held at the Turgay Ciner Sports Facilities after his passing his medical at the Liv Hospital Vadi Ä°stanbul.

Opoku left French Ligue 2 side Amiens SC after the end of the 2023–24 season following the expiration of his contract. He made 23 appearances for the club during the last season's campaign.

He made 102 appearances across all competitions for Amiens SC during the three-year stay at the French club after joining from Udinese Calcio in 2021.

Opoku moved from Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea to Club Africain in Tunisia before his transfer to Udinese in July 2018.

Opoku has capped 18 times for the senior national team of Ghana.
