Arsenal should give Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey a new contract, says Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan, with the Gunners told the former Atlético Madrid man now serves as a ''huge figure'' at the Emirates Stadium.
With his current deal set to expire in the upcoming summer, the former Sunderland forward wants the English top-flight heavyweights offer his compatriot a new contract extension considering his magnificent outings so far this season.
Gyan, who once proved himself as a cult hero in the Gulf Region with United Arab Emirates side Al Ain, believes Partey has now elevated himself as one of the best midfielders in the world and Arsenal must retain his services beyond the upcoming summer, telling Joy Sports: ''At the moment, Partey is one of the best midfielders in the world, there is no doubt about that. He has impressive statistics at Arsenal this season. Compare the winning percentage of Arsenal anytime he starts. He is a huge figure when it comes to Arsenal, so I will say they should give him a contract.''
Partey has so far been involved in 47 games by netting 4 and assisting 3 for Arsenal across all competitions in this current 2024-25 football campaign.
He currently boasts of 51 caps with Ghana Senior Men's National Team with 14 goals to his name so far on the international stage.
