The 25-year-old defender of Ghanaian descent is reportedly close to sealing a deal with the German Second-Tier outfit in the upcoming summer transfer window

German-born Ghanaian centre-back Maxwell Gyamfi is on the verge of joining German 2. Bundesliga side FC Kaiserslautern from VfL Osnabrück, a report from the German media has indicated.

During the winter transfer window, the former Borussia Dortmund youth star was believed to have attracted the attention of the former top-flight campaigners and are now close to landing his services as his current deal is set to expire on June 30,2025.

Per Sky Germany, the hard-tackling rearguard has already put pen to paper with the Die roten Teufe and would be linking up with them for the 2025-26 campaign when the current season comes to a close very soon.

Gyamfi has so far netted one goal in 28 game appearances across all competitions for VfL Osnabrück in this ongoing 2024-25 football season.

Given his Ghanaian root, he still remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage as he's yet to be cap-tied by the Germany national team.
