The defensive midfielder has completed a permanent switch to the Serbian SuperLiga giants until the summer of 2026.

Ghana international Edmund Addo has completed a move to Red Star Belgrade on the transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee.

Addo has signed a four-year deal with the Serbian champions after deciding to leave Sheriff Tiraspol.

With the Ghanaian being a key player for the club during the 2021/22 season, Sheriff rejected an approach from Red Star during the winter window as they were competing in the UEFA Europa League.

According to Richard Gyasi, who is the PRO of Arthur Legacy Sports, the 22-year-old completed his move ahead of the transfer on Wednesday, August 31, with the transfer deadline approaching.

Addo featured 33 times for Red Star last season across all competitions and scored once.

He has joined his compatriot Osman Bukari, who is currently a top performer in Serbia, at Red Star Belgrade.
