Norwegian champions FK Bodø/Glimt have loaned out Ghanaian midfielder Gilbert Koomson to Aalesunds FK until the end of the season.
Koomson was farmed out to the Color Line Stadion outfit by FK Bodø/Glimt on the transfer deadline day due to limited playing time this term.
The club's official statement reads “Exactly one year after he became ready for Glimt, Gilbert Koomson leaves Bodø in favor of a loan to Aalesund.”
“At the end of August 2021, Ghanaian Gilbert Koomson signed a contract with the reigning league champion. However, on the last day of the transfer window, he leaves Bodø/Glimt.”
The 27-year-old was key member of FK Bodø/Glimt team that clinched the Norwegian top-flight league title last season, after two goals in 17 matches.
Despite the lack of regular playing time at FK Bodø/Glimt this season, he has managed to make 24 appearances for the club but mostly starting from the bench.
His contract with FK Bodø/Glimt will be running until the end of December 2023.
Koomson previously played for SK Brann, Sogndal IF and Kasimpasa in Turkey.
He made his debut for the Black Stars of Ghana in 2016 against South Africa in an international friendly
