Bournemouth's Premier League status moved closer to being secured with a victory at the Vitality Stadium, while Leeds' fears of relegation deepened.

Jefferson Lerma scored twice in the first half to put Bournemouth in control, with a superb first-time shot and a powerful finish from a corner.

Leeds pulled a goal back through a Patrick Bamford header, but Dominic Solanke's tidy finish restored Bournemouth's two-goal advantage.

Despite trying to get back into the game, Leeds couldn't find a way past Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto, who made some important saves.

A late goal from substitute Antoine Semenyo secured the win for Bournemouth. It was the Ghanaian striker's firs Premier League for his club in ten games.

The result leaves Javi Gracia's Leeds side just one point above the relegation zone, with only goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three. Meanwhile, Bournemouth, managed by Gary O'Neil, climbed to 13th and are now 10 points clear of the drop zone.
