A move to the Middle East has been mooted as the winger heads for the exit at the Portuguese top-flight side at the end of this ongoing league campaign

Ghanaian winger Francis Cann is set to leave Portugal Primeira Liga side FC Vizela as his current deal is due to come to a close in the summer of 2023.

Having spent five seasons at the Estádio do FC Vizela, the 24-year-old would be made to move on, with Saudi Arabia Pro League believed to be the next destination over his playing career.

According to O jogo, an unnamed Saudi Arabian top-tier side have already opened negotiations with Cann's representatives and a deal is soon expected to get over the line between both parties.

The former Mafra loanee has so far struggled for form this term having witnessed just 4 league games for FC Vizela in the ongoing Liga Portugal 22/23 campaign.

Should the Saudi Arabia deal materialise, Cann will be bringing a six-year stay in Portugal to an end after joining FC Vizela U-19 side from Ghanaian lower division side Charity Stars FC in 2017.

The Tema-born winger was part of the Ghana U-20 squad that failed to qualify the Black Satellites to the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.
