The striker has brought to an end his four-year marriage with the Swedish top-flight campaigners after failing to come to terms over fresh deal with the newly-promoted elite side

Ghanaian attacking Sadat Karim has parted ways with Allsvenskan side Halmstads BK ahead of the commencement of the 2023 league campaign in the summit of Swedish football competition.

After joining the Örjans Vall Stadium outfit in 2019, the former Ghana U-20 striker has decided to move on having failed to reach agreement over fresh terms between both parties.

Club's manager Magnus Haglund has stated that his outfit were hell-bent to retain the services of the 31-year-old frontman, but "a back and forth" situation over contract extension has necessitated for their separation.

"We are in a position where we have four established forwards plus Lorent Mehmeti (talent from the academy) so we have quite a good order on the forward side. Then Sadat is good, a strong target player and has qualities that are good, but we have discussed back and forth and it ended up in this overall,"  HBK's manager Magnus Haglund told Hallandsposten

Sadat has made over 126 appearances, scoring 24 and assisting 21 for Halmstads BK in the Swedish football competitions.

He is yet to be capped by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars.
